FocusTasks - Focus Task Management App

Challenge

Managing daily tasks and using a Pomodoro timer in separate apps disrupts focus due to constant switching. There was a need for a single tool that seamlessly handles task prioritization and focused time management.

Technical Approach

Built as a native iOS app using SwiftUI and SwiftData. Tasks are organized into "Today's Focus" and "Backlog" sections with drag-and-drop prioritization. The Pomodoro timer integrates directly with tasks, with customizable work sessions, short breaks, and long breaks. Implemented dark mode support and localization (Japanese/English).

Result

Published on the App Store as an in-house product. The app demonstrates iOS development best practices including modern SwiftUI design, offline-first data persistence with SwiftData, and light/dark theme switching.
