From September 14, 2025, to March 8, 2026, we collaborated on the "WakuTECH" project organized by NPO WakuWork, a hands-on program where participants learn system development through real-world projects.
About NPO WakuWork
NPO WakuWork is a community organization based in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, founded in 2010 with the mission of "connecting people, connecting communities." Their activities are built on three pillars: operating the disability welfare service center "BOCCHI," running the multi-generational community space "KuruKuru," and the "Be Happy Project" that connects local people, goods, and initiatives.
About WakuTECH
"WakuTECH" is a hands-on learning program where participants learn system development by working on real projects. It was designed to give students practical experience in the development process while fostering cross-disciplinary exchange and community connections.
Roku Inc. provided support in course management and overall system development throughout the program.
Through this six-month project, sharing the joys and challenges of building software with all the participants was a valuable experience for us as well.
We will continue to contribute to developing local IT talent through initiatives like this.
